Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be among the top gymnasts. In the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in a single Games and was also the first gymnast to win three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles is a native of Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. The Biles family grew up in the metropolitan areas of Houston. Simone was interested in gymnastics when she was just six in a day-care field excursion at Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years, under the guidance of her trainer Aimee Boorman. Biles was a winner in the vault and floor exercises at the 2009 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before getting to the top competition levels in the year the year 2011. A year later Biles had a dominating performance in the sport. Biles was distinguished by her consistently high performance and exuberant character, as well as the difficulty she encountered across all four events including vaulting, uneven bars and balance beam.
