Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actress and musician most well known for her work in Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum, Rasoolum marked her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. Her debut was in Tamil with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian background. She was the daughter of an Madras High Court attorney. Her sister, who is younger, is a research assistant from Belgium and works in Leuven. Jeremiah is a native of Chennai. in Chennai attended National Public School. He completed his studies at Women's Christian College. Andrea began learning classical piano around the age of eight. Andrea was a huge geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. She was part of the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. It was this group that shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. She was a performer at the college, in a variety of productions organized by The Madras Players or EVAM. She was the President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started the acting profession as a young actor as a child actor in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in the 2006 leo coffee commercial with Shiva. The actress also appeared in a TV serial that was telecast on Podhigai. The actress has also appeared on stage in India. She played a minor role for the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). Gautham Menon enlisted Andrea to play the lead role after she performed in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani the housewife with a husband who has been involved in an affair. She was threatened with a blackmail. Andrea was approached following Simran Shobana and Tabu. It was first released in the early part of the year 2010. In August 2011 Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to fill a smaller part in the film. In 2013 she made her debut in Malayalam cinema with Rajeev Ravi's love movie, Annayum Rasoolum.
