Kari Samantha, born in 1967 is an American artist, actress and vocalist (born on April 28 1967). The career of Wuhrer began when she was a teenager. Her most famous role is Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders and also her character Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble) working as an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a policeman and car dealer). There are three of her siblings. She started singing at clubs as a teenager, and often would leave her house in order to perform. From the Wooster School, at 13 years old, she began studying acting. Then, at the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University, Marymount Manhattan College at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known professor Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied. Her birthplace was in Brookfield Connecticut on April 28 She was raised in the town. Her mother is a payroll accountant, and her father, German-American, is a police officer and automobile salesman. Kari has three brothers and sisters. Kari was a nightclub singer as teens, sneaking out of her home to perform. Kari began acting at the Wooster School aged thirteen, and went further to pursue a degree in drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under renowned Uta Hagen. Kari began performing when she was in her teens, her first television appearance on 1987's MTV Remote Control.
